Aeneas’s
incredibly
soft crimpy fleece is an intriguing combination of browns, greys,
oatmeal and coppery cinnamon. His head and legs are cinnamon brown.
The smirslet markings on his face are blond.
He has inherited his
father, D’artagan’s sweet natured temperament, who in turn
inherited it from his mother, so perhaps that is a characteristic
that he will pass on. His mother, Sky, has time and again proved
herself to be the wisest sheep in our flock. Time will tell if
Aeneas will inherit this trait.
Sky, won 3rd
place for her 2015 fleece in the raw fleece competition at the Finger
Lakes Fiber Festival.
Through
his mother, Sky, Aeneas has a pedigree that can be considered quite
illustrious in the Shetland world. If you click on her ,

5 generations of Maple Ridge’s careful breeding program

\Ramshackle
is ,light grey with variegated tones of silver grey as well
as patchy areas of a darker smokey blue grey. His fleece is extremely soft, consisting of very crimpy skinny locks His face and legs are a
dark slate grey. He has small silver grey yuglet circles around his
eyes and a light grey muzzle. There is a good chance that he carries
the recessive moorit (brown) gene from his father, Coletrain. His
horns are nicely wide spread. He has a nice easy going, friendly
personality

Ivanhoe
is actually tri-colored. He was born a rich ivery base with patches of
various shades of brown and grey on his body, and
the katmoget markings on
his legs, tummy and throat are black. His fleece has grown out to be an even oatmeal color. His fleece is soft, thick , crimpy and quite long considering his
